Job Description
Take on a long-term subcontract role as a Gas Engineer, with consistent local work covering RAF bases across Oxford and within approximately a 30-mile radius. There are three positions available across planned repairs, service and breakdown, and installation, depending on your experience and preferred type of work.
You’ll be working across both occupied and void properties, with all jobs managed and completed through a tablet/PDA system. Travel will be kept local, with no requirement to cover further than approximately 30 miles from Oxford.
I’d love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Gas Engineer, Heating Engineer, Service & Repair Engineer or Domestic Gas Installer.
As a Gas Engineer, you could be working within one of the following areas:
Planned Repairs
Pre-planned gas repairs and maintenance Working on unvented hot water cylinders Carrying out maintenance and remedial works to unvented cylinders
Service & Breakdown
Completing landlord gas safety checks and servicing Diagnosing breakdowns and gas/heating faults Carrying out responsive repair work
Installation
Completing domestic gas and heating installations Working across both void and occupied properties Delivering installation works to the required standards I’d love to speak to anyone who has:
Full domestic ACS qualifications, including cookers Unvented hot water qualification A minimum of two years’ relevant experience Experience working across domestic properties Confidence using a tablet/PDA system to manage and complete jobs The Gas Engineer role is offering:
Around £34 per hour Long-term subcontract work Consistent work across RAF properties Local travel within approximately 30 miles of Oxford Opportunity to move into a permanent position Call-out opportunities for installers who choose to move into a permanent role Location & travel This Gas Engineer position is covering RAF bases across Oxford and the surrounding area. Travel will be limited to approximately a 30-mile radius, meaning the work stays relatively local. Due to the minimal travel involved, there is no additional mileage payment.
