Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Gate Engineer to join a busy and established team, responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of automated gate systems across commercial and domestic sites.
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience working with CAME and BFT automated gate equipment and will be confident diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and ensuring systems are operating safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair automated gates and access control systems.
Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
Work with CAME and BFT gate automation equipment.
Carry out routine maintenance and preventative servicing.
Attend breakdowns and respond to customer call-outs.
Complete installations, upgrades and replacement works where required.
Test and commission equipment following repairs and maintenance.
Complete service reports and relevant paperwork accurately.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Gate Engineer or similar role.
Proven experience maintaining and repairing CAME and / or BFT equipment (essential)
Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Experience working with automated gates and access systems.
Able to work independently and manage a daily schedule of jobs.
Full UK driving licence.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, practical and safety-conscious approach.
Package
£32,240 basic salary
40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm
Saturday overtime available
Company van provided
Fuel provided
All work located within approximately 60 miles of the Roydon office
Stable, localised work with no requirement for long-distance travel
