Key Details
Contract: Immediate start, ongoing temporary role
Pay:
£13.45 per hour
£14.86 per hour station assist and £15.26 per hour Gateline after submitting 12 time sheets
Location: St Davids train station
Hours:
Varied 7-8-hour shifts between 07:00 and 19:00
Usually 2 to 4 shifts per week
Zero-hours contract with ad hoc shifts offered weekly
Opportunity to work at neighbouring stations
Main Responsibilities
Assisting passengers and providing excellent customer service
Managing queues and passenger flow through the station
Checking tickets and directing passengers to the correct platform/train
Operating ticket gates safely
Supporting customers who require assistance
Reporting incidents and maintaining station safety
Requirements
Good spoken and written English
Previous customer service experience
Ability to pass a DBS check
Willingness to comply with drug and alcohol testing policies
Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
Ideal Candidate
Someone who enjoys working with the public, can remain calm in busy environments, communicates clearly, and is physically capable of being on their feet throughout the shift.
