GCSE Maths Tutor - Sefton
Location: Sefton
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Are you an enthusiastic GCSE Maths Teacher or Tutor looking for flexible work? Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a 1:1 Maths Tutor to support a learner in Sefton.
The successful candidate will be able to identify areas for development, explain concepts clearly and tailor sessions to the learner's current ability and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver focused 1:1 GCSE Maths tuition
- Identify and address gaps in knowledge
- Prepare engaging and appropriately challenging lessons
- Adapt explanations and resources to the learner
- Encourage confidence and participation
- Record and communicate learner progress
Requirements
- Strong GCSE Maths subject knowledge
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience providing 1:1 tuition desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible and learner-focused approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
