GCSE Maths Tutor - Runcorn
Location: Runcorn
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Are you a confident Maths Teacher or Tutor looking for flexible 1:1 work? Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a GCSE Maths Tutor to support a learner in Runcorn.
The successful candidate will be able to identify areas where the learner needs additional support and deliver clear, engaging sessions designed to build both knowledge and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual GCSE Maths tuition
- Assess strengths and learning gaps
- Prepare lessons suited to the learner's ability
- Explain concepts using accessible teaching methods
- Encourage engagement and confidence
- Track and communicate progress
Requirements
- Strong GCSE Maths subject knowledge
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience
- 1:1 tuition experience desirable
- Ability to adapt teaching to individual learners
- Excellent communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
