Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit a motivated GCSE Maths Tutor for a flexible 1:1 tuition opportunity in Wigan.

The successful tutor will help a learner develop their Maths skills, prepare for GCSE-level study and gain greater confidence in tackling challenging topics.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver tailored GCSE Maths tuition Identify gaps in knowledge and target areas for improvement Support exam preparation and revision Adapt explanations and activities to suit the learner Encourage independent problem-solving Build confidence and maintain positive engagement Review and communicate learner progress

Requirements

Strong GCSE Maths subject knowledge Previous teaching or tutoring experience Experience supporting secondary-aged learners Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly Patient, encouraging and adaptable approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references
