General Machinist

The Role – General Machinist

Wykes Engineering is looking for a skilled General Machinist to join our expanding engineering team. We are looking for someone with a conscientious approach to their work and be willing to learn all aspects of our range of products.

Key experience/ responsibilities will include the following:

• Operate and set up machines such as milling machines, CNC lathes, centre lathes, bandsaw, radial drill and manual milling machines

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand specifications

• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards

• Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing regular maintenance

• Collaborate with engineers and production team to improve processes

• Ensuring that H&S are maintained throughout, following procedure and safe systems of work

We are looking for someone with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
