General Assistant / Second Man – Engineering We’re looking for a General Assistant / Second Man to join a busy engineering team specialising in sheet metal, light-gauge steel and general metalwork. 💷 £16.85 per hour – PAYE Umbrella / CIS 📈 Genuine progression opportunities

The Role

You’ll be working alongside experienced workshop staff, supporting with:

• Operating and assisting on saws
• Building guttering
• Assisting press brake operators
• General sheet metal and workshop duties
• Loading, moving and preparing materials
• Learning and developing new engineering skills across the business What We’re Looking For You don’t need to be a fully skilled fabricator. We’re looking for someone who is:
• Hands-on and practical
• Reliable and hardworking
• Keen to learn new skills
• Comfortable working in a busy workshop environment
• Ideally familiar with Amada, LAG brake presses or similar machinery — although training can be provided for the right person Progression This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in engineering and metalwork.
