Job Description
We are recruiting for a reliable and motivated General Operative to join a busy manufacturing team. This role involves finishing and deburring precision components, operating machinery following training, and supporting production to ensure products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Deburr, finish and polish machined components using hand tools and finishing equipment.
Inspect components to ensure quality standards are met.
Operate finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
Train to operate production saws and other machinery.
Assist with assembly, cleaning and preparation of parts for dispatch.
Read and follow work instructions, drawings and quality documentation.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
Support other production departments as required.RequirementsEssential
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good practical skills and manual dexterity.
Ability to maintain quality standards while carrying out repetitive tasks.
Strong work ethic, reliability and good timekeeping.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.Desirable
Experience within a precision engineering or machining environment.
Experience using hand tools, deburring or finishing equipment.
Experience operating saws or other production machinery.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers or gauges.
