About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join their secondary school faculty in Oxford . This hybrid position allows for a dynamic blend of on-site teaching and remote administrative or planning duties. You will inspire students to understand the world around them, from physical landscapes to human societies, and develop their geographical knowledge and critical thinking skills. The role involves teaching geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a sense of global awareness and encouraging inquiry-based learning within a supportive academic setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality geography lessons to secondary school students, covering physical and human geography topics.
• Develop engaging curriculum content and resources, incorporating fieldwork and map skills.
• Assess student learning through a range of methods, including essays, presentations, and examinations.
• Utilize educational technology to enhance teaching and learning, including digital mapping tools and virtual resources.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Geography or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level in the UK.
• Strong understanding of geographical concepts and the national curriculum.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
