About the Role

A secondary school in vibrant Brighton is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to inspire Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. You will guide students in understanding the complexities of our world, from physical landscapes to human societies, and develop their geographical inquiry skills. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver stimulating Geography lessons that cover physical and human geography topics.
• Develop students' map-reading, data analysis, and fieldwork skills.
• Assess student understanding and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations.
• Utilize a range of teaching resources, including maps, GIS, and real-world case studies.
• Engage students in topical geographical issues and sustainable development concepts.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Geography or a related social science.
• Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of geographical concepts and current global issues.
• Excellent classroom management and communication abilities.
