Geologist - Resource Estimation

This role is pivotal in accurately assessing the quantity and quality of mineral resources, providing the foundational data for economic viability studies and strategic planning. You will utilize advanced geological modeling and statistical techniques to interpret exploration data and deliver robust resource estimates. Key Responsibilities

• Compile, validate, and interpret geological and assay data from various exploration projects.
• Develop and apply 3D geological models to delineate mineralized zones.
• Perform statistical analysis and apply geostatistical methods for accurate resource estimation .
• Classify mineral resources according to industry standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101).
• Prepare detailed technical reports documenting resource estimates and methodologies.
• Collaborate with mine planning engineers to ensure resource models are practical for extraction.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Economic Geology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in resource geology and estimation.
• Proficiency in resource modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog Geo, Datamine, Micromine, Vulcan).
• Strong understanding of geostatistics and statistical analysis techniques.
• Experience with different deposit types and geological settings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
