About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Geophysical Data Analyst to join their exploration team in Manchester . In this role, you will be responsible for processing, interpreting, and integrating large volumes of geophysical data, including seismic, gravity, and magnetic surveys, to identify potential hydrocarbon reserves. You will work closely with geoscientists and reservoir engineers to provide critical subsurface insights that guide exploration and development strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Process and quality control diverse geophysical datasets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Interpret seismic, gravity, and magnetic data to map subsurface structures and identify potential reservoirs.
- Integrate geophysical interpretations with geological and well data to build comprehensive subsurface models.
- Utilize specialized software for data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support exploration and appraisal campaigns.
Requirements
- Degree in Geophysics, Earth Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in geophysical data analysis, preferably within the oil and gas sector .
- Proficiency with geophysical software packages (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite, OpendTect).
- Solid understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation principles.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage and interpret complex datasets effectively in the Manchester region.
