About the Role
Our client, a key player in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a skilled Geophysical Data Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is essential for processing, interpreting, and integrating large volumes of geophysical data to support exploration and field development activities. You will work with seismic, gravity, and magnetic datasets to identify subsurface structures and potential hydrocarbon reservoirs. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and technically proficient individual to contribute to critical subsurface evaluations from a flexible, remote location, leveraging advanced software and data analysis techniques within a company that values innovation and remote collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and quality control geophysical datasets, including seismic, gravity, and magnetic data.
- Perform interpretation of seismic data to identify geological structures, faults, and potential reservoir targets.
- Integrate geophysical data with well log, core, and production data for comprehensive subsurface analysis.
- Utilize advanced software tools for data visualization, mapping, and interpretation.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing geophysical findings and their implications for exploration and development.
- Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other geoscience professionals in a remote team environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Geophysics, Geology, Physics, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in geophysical data analysis, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Proficiency with geophysical software packages (e.g., Petrel, HampsonRussell, OpendTect).
- Strong understanding of seismic principles, data acquisition, and processing techniques.
- Experience with data integration and interpretation across multiple geoscience disciplines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and remote communication skills.
