About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Geophysicist with expertise in seismic interpretation to join their exploration team in Bristol . This role is vital for identifying and evaluating new hydrocarbon prospects, as well as providing geological and geophysical support for ongoing field development. You will work with large seismic datasets, integrating them with other subsurface information to build a clear understanding of the subsurface geology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the discovery and development of energy resources within the dynamic Oil & Gas industry .
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed seismic data interpretation to identify geological structures and hydrocarbon plays.
- Integrate seismic data with well logs, core data, and production information.
- Contribute to prospect generation and maturation for exploration and development campaigns.
- Build and maintain subsurface models using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate closely with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other disciplines.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and management.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics or a related Earth Science discipline.
- Proven experience in seismic interpretation within the Oil & Gas exploration sector .
- Proficiency with seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom, OpendTect).
- Strong understanding of seismic processing, attribute analysis, and inversion techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
