Geophysicist - Seismic Interpretation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Geophysicist specializing in Seismic Interpretation to join their expanding exploration team, operating in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in identifying and evaluating potential hydrocarbon prospects through the meticulous analysis of seismic data. You will work with cutting-edge software and large datasets, collaborating with geoscientists and reservoir engineers globally to contribute to the company's exploration strategy and success, all within a supportive and flexible remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed seismic data interpretation to identify and map geological structures and potential hydrocarbon traps.
• Integrate seismic data with other geological and well log information to build comprehensive subsurface models.
• Utilize advanced seismic processing and interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom).
• Collaborate with exploration teams to define drilling targets and assess exploration risks.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for internal review and external partners.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geophysical techniques and technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in seismic interpretation , with a focus on oil and gas exploration.
• Proficiency with industry-standard seismic interpretation software packages.
• Strong understanding of seismic data acquisition, processing, and attribute analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote team setting.
• Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics, Exploration Geophysics, or a related field.
