About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to join their established team, contributing expertise to a range of infrastructure and building projects from a remote setting. This role focuses on analyzing the behavior of earth materials and applying geological knowledge to the design and construction of foundations, slopes, and other structures. You will interpret site investigation data, perform complex analyses, and provide recommendations to ensure the stability and safety of engineered works. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise site investigations, including drilling, soil sampling, and in-situ testing.
- Analyze soil and rock mechanics data to determine engineering properties of subsurface materials.
- Perform geotechnical design calculations for foundations (shallow and deep), retaining walls, slopes, and earthworks.
- Prepare clear and concise geotechnical reports, detailing findings, analyses, and design recommendations.
- Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and clients to integrate geotechnical solutions into overall project designs.
- Provide technical support during construction, addressing any geotechnical issues that arise.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering .
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and site investigation techniques.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software packages (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS) and CAD.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills for clear technical documentation.
