Geotechnical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to join their established team, contributing expertise to a range of infrastructure and building projects from a remote setting. This role focuses on analyzing the behavior of earth materials and applying geological knowledge to the design and construction of foundations, slopes, and other structures. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise site investigations, including drilling, soil sampling, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze soil and rock mechanics data to determine engineering properties of subsurface materials.
• Perform geotechnical design calculations for foundations (shallow and deep), retaining walls, slopes, and earthworks.
• Prepare clear and concise geotechnical reports, detailing findings, analyses, and design recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and clients to integrate geotechnical solutions into overall project designs.
• Provide technical support during construction, addressing any geotechnical issues that arise.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering .
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and site investigation techniques.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software packages (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS) and CAD.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills for clear technical documentation.
