Job Description
The Privacy Analyst is a member of the Data Privacy Office (DPO) and helps develop and implement the global privacy framework at the Fisher group of companies (Fisher Group). The DPO helps the business align with data privacy requirements across the EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, Japan (and more). The Privacy Analyst works with colleagues throughout the Fisher Group in every location, which provides the opportunity to build relationships across the organisation. The Privacy Analyst partners with the business to help oversee the management of data privacy issues and research answers to inquiries.
The Opportunity:
The Privacy Analyst has strong troubleshooting abilities, collaboration skills and an eagerness to help enhance the Fisher Group's privacy management and framework. You will report to the Data Privacy Team Leader.
The Day-to-Day:
Help design and implement the data privacy framework
Independently reviews and advises business on risk assessments including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs)
Help develop different capabilities and documentation together with the Data Privacy team and other departments
Research privacy topics based on inquiries and new privacy regulations
Report, and provide insights on privacy programme topics
Work with the business, convey privacy concepts, and promote data privacy and data protection, including education
Develops and maintains Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of data protection regulation and related privacy management solutions as needed
Opine on privacy risk across the Fisher Group, including assessment of business practices
Identify areas suitable for data privacy improvement
Provide input, oversight, review and appropriate challenge of risk management activities
Provide guidance on risk topics
Oversee and prepare reports and insights to support decisions by senior management and other business unit leaders
Promote regular engagement with the business to support data privacy awareness and enhancements
Help develop and implement proposed solutions to improve the efficiency of the team and other departments
Complete different projects in collaboration with management
Your Qualifications:
Speak German and English at a native or bilingual level
At least 3 years of privacy professional experience required
Nimble learner, excited about developing an expertise in global data privacy regulation and related topics
Familiarity with reviewing the functionality and categories of AI systems preferred
Strong technical skills preferred e.g. Excel, Word, data protection / risk management software
Possess Data Protection certifications e.g. IAPP CIPM, CIPP/E, AIGP, CIPP/US etc.
Can identify, assess and manage complexity and complex issues
Can coordinate across several departments
Experienced in interpersonal relations and are an effective communicator and collaborator
