Our client is seeking a visionary Global Procurement Lead to operate remotely and spearhead their international sourcing and purchasing strategies. This senior role demands a strategic and commercially astute individual capable of managing a global supply base, optimizing cross-border procurement operations, and delivering substantial cost savings. You will be responsible for setting the direction for global procurement, building strong international supplier partnerships, and ensuring a resilient and efficient global supply chain from your remote workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company's global procurement strategy , aligning with international business objectives.
- Manage and develop a global network of suppliers, ensuring compliance with international standards and ethical practices.
- Lead complex, high-value international negotiations and contract management.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and value enhancement across all global sourcing activities.
- Provide leadership and direction to a dispersed international procurement team.
- Monitor global market trends, geopolitical factors, and supply chain risks to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
- Significant international experience in a senior procurement or strategic sourcing role.
- Proven ability to manage global supply chains and complex cross-border transactions.
- Expert negotiation skills and a deep understanding of international contract law.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with global cost management strategies.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, adept at managing remote and international teams.
- Fluency in multiple languages is advantageous but not essential.
