About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the meticulous maintenance and presentation of a prestigious golf course located in London . This critical role involves managing all aspects of turfgrass culture, agronomy, and groundskeeping operations to ensure an exceptional playing experience for members and guests. You will lead a skilled team, implement innovative maintenance practices, and contribute to the long-term vision of one of the UK's premier golf facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive annual maintenance plans , including irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease management, and mowing schedules.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of groundskeepers, ensuring high standards of performance and safety.
• Manage the golf course operations budget , including labor, equipment, and material costs, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all groundskeeping equipment and machinery.
• Implement sustainable and environmentally friendly turf management practices , adhering to all relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with the Golf Operations Manager and club committees to meet course standards and event requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in golf course management , with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Degree or Diploma in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Proven knowledge of turfgrass physiology, soil science, and integrated pest management.
• Experience with irrigation systems (e.g., Toro, Rain Bird) and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
