About the Role
Our client is looking for bright and enthusiastic Graduate Chemical Engineers to join their innovative process development team based in Brighton . This role provides an excellent foundation for graduates keen to apply their academic knowledge to real-world industrial challenges. You will support senior engineers in the design, optimisation, and scaling of chemical processes, contributing to safer, more efficient, and sustainable operations. This hybrid role allows for flexibility while ensuring vital collaboration within the Brighton -based facility. You will gain invaluable experience in process simulation, experimentation, and data analysis, working within a company committed to technological advancement and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of new chemical processes and equipment.
- Conduct experiments and pilot-scale trials to test and optimise process parameters.
- Analyse experimental data and provide reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Support process safety assessments and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and engineering teams to ensure seamless process integration.
- Contribute to process troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Sound understanding of chemical engineering principles, including mass and energy balances, reaction kinetics, and separation processes.
- Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
