About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Chemical Engineer to join their team in Derby . This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to kick-start their career in chemical engineering, gaining broad exposure to process design, optimization, and plant operations. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in process design, calculations, and the development of P&IDs.
• Support pilot plant operations and data analysis for process development projects.
• Participate in site visits and plant troubleshooting activities.
• Conduct literature reviews and research on new technologies and methodologies.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations under supervision.
• Contribute to safety reviews and ensure adherence to environmental guidelines.

Requirements

• A recent degree (BEng or MEng) in Chemical Engineering .
• Strong theoretical understanding of chemical engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
