About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and eager Graduate Chemical Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh . This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain invaluable industry experience and develop their skills in a supportive, hybrid work environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects, contributing to process design, analysis, and improvement initiatives. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the field of chemical engineering within a company committed to fostering new talent and offering pathways for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with process design calculations, equipment sizing, and P&ID development.
- Conduct literature reviews and data analysis to support project research and development activities.
- Participate in process troubleshooting and optimization efforts under guidance.
- Help prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Gain exposure to various aspects of chemical engineering, including process safety, environmental compliance, and project management.
- Engage in assigned training modules and collaborate with team members both remotely and on-site.
Requirements
- Recent graduate with a BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Strong academic record with a foundational understanding of chemical engineering principles.
- Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to adapt to hybrid working modes.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute within a team environment.
