Graduate Civil Engineer - Structural Design

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Civil Engineer to join their prestigious structural design team in Milton Keynes . This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the design of a variety of structural projects, including commercial buildings, residential developments, and industrial facilities. You will work under the guidance of experienced chartered engineers, contributing to all stages of the design process from initial concept through to detailed construction drawings. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the structural design of building projects using structural analysis software and relevant design codes.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications for structural elements, such as foundations, beams, columns, and slabs.
• Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and assist with site-related queries.
• Participate in project meetings, contributing ideas and gaining an understanding of project management processes.
• Learn and apply relevant British Standards and Eurocodes to all design work.
• Support the preparation of technical reports and design documentation.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• A strong academic record with a keen interest in structural analysis and design .
• Familiarity with CAD software and an eagerness to learn specialized structural design tools.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• A proactive attitude and a desire to learn from experienced professionals.
