Graduate Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Civil Engineer to join their supportive team in Brighton . This is an excellent entry-level position for a recent graduate eager to begin a career in civil engineering, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of infrastructure projects. You will work closely with experienced engineers, learning to contribute to design, planning, and site supervision. This role offers a structured pathway for professional development, including support towards chartered engineer status, within a company that values learning and practical application.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications under supervision.
• Support senior engineers with site investigations, data collection, and analysis.
• Contribute to the planning and design phases of civil engineering projects, such as roads, drainage, and public spaces.
• Participate in site visits to monitor construction progress and assist with quality control measures.
• Learn and apply relevant engineering software and design standards to project tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• A strong academic record with a foundational understanding of core civil engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
• A proactive attitude and a keenness to learn and develop professionally.
