Graduate Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a renowned infrastructure and construction firm, is looking for a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join their project delivery team in Plymouth . You will work under the guidance of experienced chartered engineers, contributing to the planning, design, and management of civil engineering works. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of civil engineering infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, drainage, structures).
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and assess project conditions.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports using relevant software.
• Support the project management team in monitoring construction progress and quality.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Sound understanding of fundamental civil engineering principles and practices.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) and relevant design tools.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment in Plymouth .
