About the Role
Our client, a renowned infrastructure and construction firm, is looking for a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join their project delivery team in Plymouth . This role provides an excellent foundation for a career in civil engineering, offering exposure to a wide range of projects, from design to construction oversight. You will work under the guidance of experienced chartered engineers, contributing to the planning, design, and management of civil engineering works. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, drainage, structures).
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and assess project conditions.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports using relevant software.
- Support the project management team in monitoring construction progress and quality.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Sound understanding of fundamental civil engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) and relevant design tools.
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment in Plymouth .
