Our client is seeking a promising Graduate Civil Engineer to join their distinguished engineering firm based in Leeds . This role is perfect for a recent graduate looking to apply their academic knowledge to real-world civil engineering projects, from conception through to completion. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, contributing to the design, planning, and supervision of infrastructure projects. This hybrid role allows for a balance of office-based collaboration and site visits, providing a comprehensive understanding of the engineering lifecycle and fostering professional growth within a respected organization known for its commitment to excellence and sustainability in construction and infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, such as roads, bridges, and water systems.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure project delivery.
- Perform calculations and undertake research to support engineering solutions.
- Support in the review of construction proposals and contractor submissions.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
