Our client is seeking a promising Graduate Civil Engineer to join their distinguished engineering firm based in Leeds . This role is perfect for a recent graduate looking to apply their academic knowledge to real-world civil engineering projects, from conception through to completion. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, contributing to the design, planning, and supervision of infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, such as roads, bridges, and water systems.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure project delivery.
- Perform calculations and undertake research to support engineering solutions.
- Support in the review of construction proposals and contractor submissions.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
