About the Role

Our client, a well-established engineering firm in Portsmouth , is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Civil Engineer to join their dynamic infrastructure team. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, contributing to site development, drainage, and transportation schemes across Hampshire and beyond. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of civil engineering designs, including site layouts, drainage plans, and road alignments.
• Develop technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
• Support senior engineers in conducting site investigations and feasibility studies.
• Undertake site visits to observe construction progress and assist with resolving site queries.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, planning submissions, and tender documents.
• Learn and apply relevant design codes, standards, and best practices in civil engineering.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• A strong academic record with a keen interest in infrastructure and development.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and an eagerness to learn other design software.
• Good understanding of fundamental civil engineering principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage tasks efficiently.
