Graduate Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking bright and ambitious Graduate Civil Engineers to join their expanding infrastructure and construction team in Southampton . This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to significant projects, from initial design through to completion, gaining practical experience in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with experienced chartered engineers, developing your skills in project management, design, and site supervision. We are looking for individuals with a strong academic background and a passion for building a better future, ready to contribute to the development of essential infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and planning of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations using relevant engineering software.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Support site supervision and contract administration during construction phases.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, codes of practice, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
• Familiarity with CAD software and structural analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
• Good communication and report-writing abilities.
• Willingness to undertake site visits as required in and around Southampton .
