About the Role

Our client is actively seeking motivated individuals for their Graduate Junior Developer program, a fully remote opportunity based out of Stoke-on-Trent . This role is designed for recent graduates passionate about coding and eager to build a career in software development. You will work on challenging projects, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of our client's innovative software solutions. This is a remote-first position, providing the flexibility to work from anywhere while fostering a strong sense of team collaboration through virtual channels and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with project requirements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with senior developers and other team members through virtual communication tools.
• Test and debug software applications to ensure functionality and performance.
• Contribute to code reviews, offering and accepting feedback to enhance code quality.
• Assist in the documentation of software designs and features.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid understanding of programming concepts and experience with at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
• Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to development.
• Excellent communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
