Candidate Profile
This role is tailored for a mechatronics-minded individual with a genuine passion for engineering and a proven track record of self-directed side projects. The ideal applicant will likely be a recent graduate in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field. Candidates who have further developed their skills through compelling personal projects, open-source contributions, or practical hardware/software build skills are encouraged to apply.
Core Responsibilities
- Production & Automation: Assembling high-precision mechanical/electronic hardware; designing and programming robotic automations, tools, and jigs to optimize workshop efficiency.
- Product Improvement: Refining core designs based on production feedback and occasional field visits to observe end‑user interactions.
- Growth & Development: Upskilling across design, manufacturing, electronics, and software, with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility.
Key Skills & Interests (Knowledge in any is a plus)
- Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechancial Engineering, Product Design or similar.
- 3D CAD & Prototyping: Fusion 360, Onshape, SolidWorks, CNC/CAM, 3D printing.
- Electronics & Hardware: Raspberry Pi, STM32, Control Systems, PCB design.
- Software & Cloud: Python, Embedded C, Web/Cloud, DevOps, Git, MQTT, IoT.
- Data & Maths: Data visualisation, telemetry, Kalman Filters, Statistics
