Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine mechanical designs for new and existing products using 3D CAD software.
- Create detailed technical drawings, models, and specifications for manufacturing.
- Participate in design reviews, offering constructive feedback and implementing improvements.
- Conduct stress analysis, tolerance studies, and performance simulations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
- Support prototype development and testing, documenting results and recommending modifications.
Requirements
- A recent degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related design-focused discipline.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor).
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong spatial reasoning and ability to visualize complex designs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration within the Bristol team.
