Graduate Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Embark on your surveying career with our client as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor based in our Glasgow, Scotland, UK office. This role provides an excellent platform to develop your skills in cost management and contract administration within the construction industry. You will work closely with experienced surveyors on a variety of projects, learning to manage budgets, prepare tender documents, and value work completed. This is an office-based position requiring active participation and collaboration within a professional, construction-focused team environment in the heart of Glasgow .

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cost estimation and the preparation of Bills of Quantities and tender documents.
• Support the measurement and valuation of work in progress and final accounts.
• Help in managing project costs, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders on contractual and commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant contractual and legal requirements.

Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, and contract law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, essential for stakeholder interaction.
