Graduate Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Our client is seeking motivated and analytical Graduate Quantity Surveyors to join their busy construction and property development team in Plymouth . This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a key commercial role within the construction industry. You will learn to manage costs, contracts, and project finances, working closely with project managers, contractors, and clients. We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of commercial awareness, excellent numerical skills, and a proactive approach to managing financial aspects of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
• Support in managing project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Help in the administration of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Monitor and report on project financial performance and variations.
• Assist in the valuation of work and processing of payments.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders on commercial matters.

Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying , Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and contract administration.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage workload in Plymouth .
