Graduate Trainee Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee Accountant to join their finance team in Norwich . This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to begin a professional accounting career, gaining hands-on experience and working towards professional qualifications. You will support the accounting department with various tasks, including bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and assisting with audits. We are looking for an individual with strong numeracy skills, a methodical approach, and a genuine interest in finance, ready to learn and grow within our supportive Norwich office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Process invoices, payments, and expenses according to company policies.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Learn and apply accounting principles and regulations relevant to the role.

Requirements

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A commitment to pursuing professional accounting qualifications and working diligently in our Norwich office.
