About the Role
Our client, a progressive charity organisation, is seeking an experienced and analytical Grant Funding Manager to join their team in Cambridge . This vital role will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing grant funding from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies to support the charity's diverse programmes and projects. You will play a key role in developing compelling funding applications, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and building strong relationships with funders. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to the sustainability and growth of the organisation's impactful work within Cambridge and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential grant-making organisations (trusts, foundations, statutory bodies) that align with the charity's mission and funding needs.
- Develop high-quality, persuasive grant proposals, reports, and supporting documentation, tailored to specific funder requirements.
- Manage the grant application process from initiation to submission, ensuring all deadlines are met and compliance standards are adhered to.
- Maintain accurate records of all grant applications, awards, and reporting schedules using CRM systems.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with current and prospective funders, fostering ongoing partnerships.
- Monitor grant expenditure and ensure adherence to funding agreements, preparing financial reports as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising, specifically securing funds from trusts and foundations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting persuasive and compelling narratives.
- Strong research, analytical, and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to understand financial information and manage budgets effectively.
- Proficiency in using CRM databases and standard office software.
