About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Grid Connection Specialist to join their fully remote team and support the seamless integration of renewable energy projects into the national grid. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the entire grid connection application process for renewable energy projects.
• Liaise with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and National Grid to secure grid connection agreements.
• Conduct technical reviews of grid connection designs and associated documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant grid codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with grid connection timelines and costs.
• Provide expert advice to project development teams on grid connection strategies and feasibility.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in grid connections, specifically within the energy sector.
• In-depth knowledge of UK grid connection policies, regulations, and technical requirements.
• Experience working with DNOs, Transmission Owners, and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
