Grid Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Grid Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Brighton , playing a crucial role in the expansion and maintenance of the energy grid infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical infrastructure for substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks.
• Conduct feasibility studies, load flow analyses, and system impact assessments for grid development projects.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and regulatory bodies on project planning and execution.
• Develop project specifications, technical documentation, and commissioning plans for grid infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to grid operations and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in power systems engineering or grid infrastructure development.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP) and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of substation design , power system protection, and grid codes.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
