Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing grid infrastructure and identify areas for modernization and upgrades.
- Develop and implement strategies for integrating renewable energy sources and energy storage systems into the grid.
- Design and specify smart grid technologies, including advanced metering, grid automation, and communication systems.
- Conduct power flow studies, fault analysis, and stability assessments to ensure grid reliability and security.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, technology providers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in grid modernization and energy systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems engineering , with a focus on grid modernization or smart grids.
- Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
- Knowledge of distributed generation, microgrids, and energy storage systems.
- Experience with SCADA systems and communication protocols is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
