Grill Chef / Kitchen Supervisor – Coopers Yard (Holmfirth)

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated Grill Chef / Kitchen Supervisor to join our busy food hall kitchen, specialising in high-quality steaks and gourmet burgers.

Minimum 1 year experience working in a busy kitchen.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take on responsibility. The successful candidate will be confident running the kitchen in the owner’s absence while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook steaks, burgers, and other menu items to a consistently high standard.
• Manage the grill section during busy service periods.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen when the owner is absent.
• Lead, support, and motivate the kitchen team.
• Ensure food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Monitor stock levels, rotate stock, and report ordering requirements.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Help train new team members and maintain an efficient kitchen operation.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a grill chef or senior chef in a busy kitchen.
• Experience cooking steaks.
• Leadership experience and the confidence to manage a kitchen independently.
• Calm under pressure with excellent organisational skills.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability.
• Good understanding of food hygiene regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate).
