Group Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically proficient Group Accountant to join their finance team in a fully remote capacity, supporting operations historically based in Portsmouth . This role is critical for consolidating financial information from various group entities and ensuring the accurate and timely production of group financial statements. You will be instrumental in maintaining financial reporting standards, managing intercompany transactions, and supporting strategic financial initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Consolidate financial results from subsidiary companies into group accounts.
• Prepare group financial statements in accordance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) .
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process for the group.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and tax laws across different jurisdictions.
• Assist with treasury functions and cash flow management at a group level.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with substantial experience in group accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS consolidation principles and practices.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel is essential.
• Proven ability to manage complex financial data and reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, crucial for remote accuracy .
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet demanding deadlines.
