Full Spectrum Print & Marketing is looking for an experienced Guillotine Operator to join our busy production team in Basildon.

This is a practical, hands‑on finishing role for someone who understands commercial print production, takes pride in accuracy, and can work confidently with printed sheets across a wide range of jobs.

Experience operating a Polar Guillotine is required for this role.

About the Role

You will be responsible for cutting printed work accurately and efficiently, supporting the wider production and finishing teams to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard and ready for the next stage of production.

The role will include:

• Operating a Polar Guillotine
• Cutting printed sheets accurately to job specifications
• Working from job bags, cutting guides and production instructions
• Preparing work for folding, stitching, binding, packing or dispatch
• Checking sizes, quantities and quality throughout production
• Handling a wide range of printed materials and paper stocks
• Maintaining safe working practices at all times
• Working closely with production and finishing colleagues
• Helping ensure jobs are completed accurately and to agreed deadlines

This role would suit someone who is reliable, organised and comfortable working in a busy print production environment where accuracy, care and consistency are essential.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with solid experience operating guillotine equipment within a commercial print or finishing environment.

You should have:

• Previous experience as a Guillotine Operator or Print Finisher
• Experience operating a Polar Guillotine
• A good understanding of commercial print finishing
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to cut accurately to specification
• Good awareness of paper handling, grain direction, trims and finishing requirements
• A practical approach to quality control
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• A reliable and safety-conscious approach to work

Experience across other print finishing equipment would be beneficial, although the key requirement for this role is confident, proven experience on a Polar Guillotine .
