Gym Floor Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Gym Floor Assistant to join their team in Portsmouth . You will play a key role in ensuring members have a positive and safe experience on the gym floor, assisting with equipment, providing basic fitness guidance, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility. You will be an integral part of the front-line team, interacting with members and supporting the overall gym environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting members with the use of gym equipment and providing basic exercise advice.
• Conducting regular checks of gym equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the gym floor, including equipment and changing areas.
• Welcoming members, answering queries, and directing them to appropriate facilities or staff.
• Assisting with gym inductions and basic fitness assessments under supervision.
• Supporting fitness instructors and personal trainers as needed.

Requirements

• A passion for fitness and a basic understanding of gym equipment and exercise.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
