About the Role

Our client is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Gym Floor Supervisor to lead the team at their busy fitness facility in Portsmouth . This role involves ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all members, supervising gym staff, and assisting members with their fitness goals. You will be responsible for maintaining gym equipment, conducting inductions, and promoting a positive fitness culture within the centre. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness, possesses strong leadership skills, and is dedicated to providing an exceptional member experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the gym floor, ensuring a high standard of service.
• Supervise and support gym staff, providing guidance and conducting performance checks.
• Assist members with equipment usage, fitness advice, and personalized inductions.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the gym environment, including equipment checks and reporting.
• Promote gym services, classes, and membership benefits to members and potential clients.
• Implement and enforce gym rules and policies to ensure a positive and safe atmosphere.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a gym or fitness environment, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
• A strong understanding of fitness principles, exercise techniques, and gym equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
• Relevant fitness certifications (e.g., Level 2 Gym Instructor) are essential.
• First Aid certification is required.
