Gym Floor Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Gym Floor Supervisor to lead their fitness team in Bristol . You will be responsible for ensuring the gym floor operates smoothly, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe and motivating environment for members. This role involves a mix of hands-on supervision and team leadership, contributing significantly to the member experience within our Leisure & Sports facility. The hybrid nature of the role allows for strategic planning alongside daily operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the gym floor, ensuring equipment is maintained and the area is clean and tidy.
• Supervise and support gym instructors, providing guidance and feedback on performance.
• Engage with members, offering assistance, demonstrating exercises, and promoting gym services.
• Assist in the development and delivery of fitness programmes and challenges.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to, conducting regular checks.
• Handle member inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise on the gym floor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a gym environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Relevant fitness certifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Fitness Instructing).
• Strong knowledge of fitness equipment, exercise techniques, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate others and create a positive fitness atmosphere in Bristol .
