Gym Instructor

About the Role

Our client, a well-established fitness centre in Stoke-on-Trent , is looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Gym Instructor to join their friendly team on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for ensuring members have a positive and safe experience, providing guidance on equipment usage, and motivating them to achieve their fitness goals. This role involves creating personalised exercise plans, conducting fitness assessments, and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the gym. Key Responsibilities

• Provide effective and motivational support to gym members, offering advice on exercise and healthy lifestyles.
• Conduct gym inductions and personal fitness assessments, developing tailored exercise programmes.
• Ensure all gym equipment is used correctly and safely, and perform regular equipment checks and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming gym environment.
• Assist with the delivery of group fitness classes as required.
• Contribute to achieving centre targets for membership retention and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing (or equivalent qualification).
• Current First Aid certification.
• Good knowledge of exercise techniques and health and safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Ability to motivate and inspire individuals of all fitness levels.
• Previous experience in a gym or fitness environment is advantageous.
