About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Gym Manager to oversee their modern fitness facility in Oxford . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the gym, delivering exceptional member experiences, and driving business growth through membership sales and retention. You will lead a team of fitness professionals and support staff, manage budgets, and implement strategies to enhance the gym's offerings and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the fitness industry, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for promoting health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the gym, ensuring a high standard of service and facility cleanliness.
- Lead, train, and motivate the gym team, including fitness instructors and reception staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive membership sales, renewals, and upgrades.
- Oversee budget management, controlling operational costs and identifying revenue-generating opportunities.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all members, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor member satisfaction and implement initiatives to improve retention and engagement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in gym management or a senior role within the fitness industry.
- Strong understanding of gym operations, fitness programming, and sales techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in financial management, including budgeting and P&L.
- Relevant fitness certifications (e.g., Level 3 Personal Trainer) are advantageous.
