About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Gymnastics Head Coach to lead their club's competitive gymnastics program in Sheffield . This role involves developing elite gymnasts, coaching at national and international levels, and managing a team of dedicated coaches. You will be instrumental in setting training standards, nurturing talent, and fostering a positive, disciplined, and aspirational team environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced coach to shape the future of a well-regarded gymnastics club and contribute to the development of high-achieving athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs for competitive gymnastics squads.
- Coach gymnasts across various age groups and disciplines, focusing on skill development and competitive readiness.
- Oversee and mentor assistant coaches, ensuring consistent coaching standards and philosophies.
- Plan and attend competitions, providing strategic guidance and support to athletes.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians on athlete development and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of gymnast progress and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in coaching competitive gymnastics, with a proven track record of developing successful athletes.
- Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., British Gymnastics Advanced Women's Artistic Coach or equivalent).
- In-depth knowledge of gymnastics techniques, training methodologies, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.
- Valid Safeguarding and Protecting Children certification.
