Health & Safety Manager – Civil Engineering & Groundworks

Location: Head Office, Swindon Salary: Negotiable Job Type: Permanent

An established construction contractor specialising in Civil Engineering and Groundworks is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team based in Swindon.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive H&S professional to take responsibility for maintaining and improving health, safety and environmental standards across multiple construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments.

• Develop and maintain H&S policies and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and industry standards.

• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training.

• Maintain H&S documentation and reports.

• Promote a strong safety culture across all projects.

Requirements

• Previous H&S experience within construction.

• Civil Engineering / Groundworks experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.

• NEBOSH or equivalent qualification desirable.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Negotiable salary depending on experience.
