About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and creative Head Catering Chef to lead their culinary operations in London . You will be responsible for the entire food production process, from menu development and ingredient sourcing to team management and kitchen hygiene. This pivotal role requires a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences for a diverse range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale corporate functions. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and execute innovative menus tailored to client specifications and seasonal availability.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Manage and mentor a team of catering staff, including sous chefs, commis chefs, and kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Control food costs, manage inventory, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal procurement and profitability.
- Maintain rigorous standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and compliance with all relevant health regulations.
- Collaborate with the events and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of catering services for all functions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior or Head Chef role within the catering industry.
- Formal culinary qualifications and a deep understanding of various international cuisines and cooking techniques.
- Proven experience in menu costing, budget management, and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules in London .
